10 avril Ferme Auberge

"I understand that the meal at the Ferme/Auberge on 10th April was very poor and that those who attended were unhappy about it. This is most regrettable, especially since the intention in arranging meals there was to support the proprietors in making a go of the business, and given that previous occasions there had proved most enjoyable.

In the light of this, I will not be proposing further meals there, and apologise to all concerned for their disappointment and dissatisfaction.

Helen"

The soup was quite nice with stale bread.
The couscous was ok with it's dates and sultanas, it came with veg that was overcooked and could have been the unliquidised soup, and the meet which was mutton stew, lots of bones, fat and gristle and if you looked hard enough some meat, next course cheesy toast, finally apple tart and fig icecream that I could eat but many couldn't. To round it off coffee - instant in teapots.
Definitely not worth 23 euros in terms of ingredients or effort involved. The red wine was nice though (for en-vrac)
