Notice from Helen regarding restaurant bookings

Regrettably, we must ask that cancellations of lunch bookings be made at least 48 hours beforehand otherwise payment of the full meal price will be required. This is necessary because in recent weeks there have been several absentees and the shortfall has been significant for the restaurants concerned. Some of them have opened especially for the walking group and others have gone to some lengths to accommodate us. All of them have requested that we confirm numbers one week in advance and they buy in their supplies and make their preparations accordingly. Any shortfall in numbers has financial implications for the restaurants and therefore, in order to retain good will for the future, we are requesting that walkers adhere to our new lunch booking code.
