Important Note
I am relieved to be able to report that Thierry, patron of the Le Cros, has accepted that the mistake concerning payment for dinner on 18th December was not that of the walking group. He has therefore not cashed the cheque so generously given by Lawrence Lumsden.
I am planning a lunch at Le Cros in March and I would like to propose that as a group we offer Lawrence a complementary meal to show appreciation for his kind and generous gesture on the 18th.
I am pleased this matter has been resolved before the end of the year, and wish everyone a Happy New Year and good walking in 2011.
Helen
Bonne annee.

Photos from the Christmas Dinner
Waiting for the food to arrive...!
Warming candle light
Martin and Nigel getting serious?
A great evening and a large gathering of the Walking Group
I wanna tell you a story!! Nigel with his very very funny English/French speech
Sandra and Bregtje - Say CHEESE!
Well....I never.........really......Farzana and Ness
A rose between two lovely roses.....Pam, John and Jenny
Christmas Dinner - IMPORTANT NOTE
It was lovely that so many people turned up for the Christmas dinner, which seemed to be enjoyed by all.
A special thanks to Nigel for his very clever bilingual speech, which was hilarious.
Unfortunately, 4 people forgot to pay Thierry for the meal and to avoid embarrassment Lawrence and Sandra very kindly paid the amount in full. I would be most grateful if those who did not pay could pay me what is owed as soon as possible so that Lawrence and Sandra can be remunerated.
Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and New Year and looking forward to seeing you walking in January.

Note........!!
Please let Helen know numbers for lunch on 24th Novembre at Verfeil as soon as possible please.
Christmas dinner Saturday 18th December L'Auberge du Cros.
The basic price of the meal I have booked is 24 euro which includes kir apero, 4 plats, coffee and 25cl wine.
However, going on past experience more wine will be needed, so I have booked a further 15 litres which brings the total price of the meal to 27 euro per person.
Should further wine be required, it will be billed to the individuals who order it as this is the fairest system.
The meal is as follows:
Apero: Kir
Cafe.
Please note that there is only one place still available as we have a maximum number of 50. Should anyone wish to drop out for any reason, please notify Helen as soon as possible so that those places can be offered to others.
